"XVIth Lead Plaquette Representing An Antique Sacrifice"
 

Lead plate from the 16th century representing two femal figures making a sacrifice before an altar.
Diameter: 44mm at least wide, 45mm at widest
Provenance: Former Alfred Spero collection (1886-1973).

This plaquette is attributed to Valerio Belli, four similar models are kept in museums, one in lead at the Bargello, three in bronze are kept in Berlin, Naples and the Louvre. See the Louvre model here: https://collections.louvre.fr/ark:/53355/cl010111031
