"Napoleon III Table"
We present this writing table from the Napoleon III period, the tray is in marquetry with a rosewood background, it is decorated with arabesques and interlacing, the edge of the tray is in ebony and bone, the twisted base is in wood. blackened, the four legs are connected by X-shaped crosspieces which also have an ebony and bone marquetry on the edges, the belt is veneered with rosewood. Two imperfections to report, a rave boule is damaged and a piece of bone is missing in one place, if we have not had these two things restored it is because our cabinetmaker companion has just been hospitalized following a stroke.
