Solid silver candleholder(757g). Includes a large square base that features the hallmarks "BOIN TABURET A PARIS", the neck brace and the silversmith's hallmark that features a stool surmounted by the inscription "Henry & son".

In 1860, goldsmith Georges Boin and jeweler Émile Taburet worked together to found the Boin-Taburet House at 3 rue Pasquier in Paris. Their association lasted until 1900, when Georges Boin joined forces with the goldsmith Henry, under the name "Boin et Henry Orfèvres". From 1901 to 1931 the silversmith's hallmark is "H Fres" and a stool. In 1936, Maison Boin-Taburet had the silversmith's hallmark "Henry et Fils" affixed. Therefore, this candleholder stamped "Boin Taburet" and "Henry and Son" can be dated to this period.
