Our painting is to be compared to the Painting of the Master with a Parrot which went on sale in 2017 at Drouot (Madonna and Child holding a parrot on her left hand and an apple on her right hand), Virgin and Child with a parrot San Diego Museum, Museum of Art. The face of the child is an identifiable fetish character in certain paintings by the master with the parrot.
