South China or Vietnam, 19th century, important and superb incense burner (incense burner) in bronze with a rich decoration of phoenixes evolving in a vegetal and floral environment. It rests on four small feet. Two handles on the sides represent the heads of chimeras. The oval-shaped body can accommodate a large number of incense sticks that are stuck in the sand.
The whole is harmonious and of a beautiful finesse.
Length 26cm. Height 15cm. The scale witness in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a well-known brand.
