Jérôme and Jean Tharaud (1877-1952), his brother, were born in Saint-Junien in Haute-Vienne, in Limousin, a region to which they will remain attached. Their baptismal first names are Ernest and Charles, and it is Péguy who later gives them the first names of Jérôme and Jean. Author submission.
