Statue of a thuriferous angel or wooden altar angel. French work around 1800 in the Ile de France style of the late 13th century. It is made of an assembly of different pieces of wood. His wings, of which we can see traces of the attachments on his back, have disappeared. Originally it probably hold a censer which has been replaced by a candlestick. Fine workmanship.
