"Encolpion In Silver, Relic Of S. Vincent De Paul, Late XIX"
Encolpion in the shape of a capsule - embossed silver reliquary decorated with a garland of flowers (roses), openwork, dominated by the portrait (bust) of Saint Vincent de Paul, embossed. Housing inside: miniscule Relic of the Saint. Sealed with the reverse in red wax below its oval lid. Saint Vincent de Paul (1581 - 1660) French priest, founder of Charity (Caritas), canonized in 1737. Very good condition.
