SZULMAN (François), painter born in Paris on June 05, 1931 (Ec. Fr.), Just after the Second World War, he was admitted to the School of Applied Arts in Paris. He abandoned his artistic studies to help support his family but quickly returned to painting as a professional painter. This is how he exhibited at the Salon des Indépendants from 1951 then at other equally renowned salons such as the Salon d'Automne, the Painters Witnesses of their Times, the National of Fine Arts etc... His first exhibition personal took place in 1967 in Paris in the Régis Langlois gallery. It was a success and the enthusiasm for his painting continued to grow among amateurs and collectors. A painter of landscapes, he draws his themes from everyday life. His falsely naive style allowed him to stand out with a singular and less figurative painting than it may seem in a thick paste that can evoke enamels. This very beautiful work, an oil on canvas from the 1970s, titled "The Fishing Boats" depicts an animated view of the port at low tide. Dimensions: Size 15F. Height 54cm.
