Object description :

"Alsatian Cabinet Diamond Tips 18th"
The diamond panels are inspired by the Louis XIII style for this cabinet originating from Sundgau, a region located in the south of Alsace between Mulhouse and the Swiss border. The fruit tree, in particular cherry tree with a beautiful warm patina, is used for the visible parts and the backgrounds are made of softwood. Another technical characteristic of furniture from this region is the very rare forged "pigtail" fitting used for the door hinges, as well as the knobs with rosettes, also in wrought iron, and placed on the median panel in the center. doors. The Alsatian design is also found in the construction of the furniture, this one is composed of two vertical bodies assembled together by a set of wooden keys, assembly, disassembly and transport is facilitated. These two elements rest on the base and are capped by the cornice. the two wedges are very easy to handle, no dowels need to be dismantled, and the assembly is very resistant. The straight molding of the uprights and crosspieces as well as the geometric design of the doors, give this original piece of furniture a style that also allows it to be integrated into a contemporary atmosphere, in a living room, a dining area or a hall. Beautiful patina, very good condition, beautiful fittings, original lock. 18th century period.
