"Fo Dogs"
Very nice pair of fô dogs in polychrome porcelain stoneware from the Shiwan region in China. period late 19th-early 20th Guardians of Buddhist temples and Chinese imperial palaces. Often designed as a mirror, the male places his paw on a ball symbolizing the world and the female represents education through the protection of the child.
