18th Century Lectern In Floor Lamp.
This lectern is made up of three parts: 1) a foliated base in which are assembled three eagles forming feet; 2) a column which simulates the sprouting of a flower, made up of tori and grooves at the base surmounted by a sphere carved in foliage connected by a groove to a pole carved in acanthus leaf from which springs a tapered stem and ringed culminating in a gadrooned calyx; 3) on this wooden structure was fixed a chiseled bronze base topped with an opaque floral glass. The set harmonizes very well and constitutes an original floor lamp.
