Rare made-to-order of the time, also sculpted at the back to be placed in the center of a room. Low crosspiece decorated with medallions with a woman's head in profile, very high quality workmanship with lots of character. Provenance of a castle of the French upper middle class. Entirely reupholstered in the rules of the Art, upholsterer from father to son since 1880, work with high quality fabric and trimmings.
