Helmet entirely in copper-plated steel, visor and neck cover surrounded by a brass ring. Front band in brass stamped in relief with two laurel branches tied together by a ribbon to which are hung the Legion of Honor and the Croix de Guerre of 1914, allowing this type of 1876 helmet to be attributed to the period 1927-1933, in the center and above the branches, the arms of the City of Paris are represented. The crest is covered in the front part by a "covering plate" representing in relief the hair of the head of Medusa. Black horsehair mane. Leather interior not original. The chin straps are made up of two cowhide chin straps covered with black waxed morocco and each covered with fifteen scalloped brass scales. Plumet in scarlet and olive feathers in gilt cannetille behind the helmet.
