REGA Romeo (1904-1968). Italian designer, is one of the creators combining inventiveness and elegance in his work, with a strong modernist influence at the dawn of the 1970s. His work is found in furniture with graphic and geometric lines, even futuristic. Rega's furniture is characterized by geometric and reduced forms. His creations are almost always gold, chrome or plated in brass, adding the elegance and charm for which Rega is known to sleek modernist pieces. Although there is little verifiable information, some sources claim that Rega worked with famous designers Willy Rizzo and the prolific Gabriella Crespi, due to the similar aesthetics of the three designers. With many pieces dedicated to entertaining, such as coffee tables with display cabinets and liquor cabinets, side tables, bookshelves and decorative desk lamps, Rega's work is popular with Hollywood Regency design enthusiasts and designers alike. 1970s.
