"Antique Collector's Cane With Watch System Called "holuska", Circa 1885"
Collector's cane with a rare “Holuska” watch system. Unlike other watch rods, the small dial of the watch is on the lower part of the Knob. On this model, it is by turning the ball of the upper part of the spherical knob that the watch is wound. The spherical pommel and the upper part of the barrel are in silver, silver hallmark and goldsmith hallmark TP. Nice work in imitation of braiding. The barrel is in rush. The metal ferrule. The patent was filed by "L. HOLUSKA" in Vienna, in 1885. A similar model can be seen in Catherine Dike's book, "Les cannes à système", p. 71, ill. 8/30. The entire rod measures 33,66 inches.
