Mexico, 1960s/1970s, superb and large polychrome terracotta statue depicting an Aztec god. He is seated and holds in his right hand a removable scepter whose end is a flower.Creation of very good quality, as much in the work of the earth as of the cooking and the painting, is in conformity with the pre-Columbian creations in a striking realism.
Height 31.5cm. The scale witness in the last photograph is a small model of a lighter from a well-known brand.
Hollow stamp under the base attesting that the sculpture was made in a workshop in Mexico.
Good condition. Neither shock, nor crack, nor lack. Let's just point out that the scepter was broken and reattached at the level of the handle, absolutely invisible in the normal position because the hand hides this very discreet restoration and without any impact on the aesthetics.
