Brass visor strapping ring, plate of the province of Hessen, with in a crest the letters FC intersected by two axes and the motto "Gott zur ehr dem nachsten zur wehr" (God to honor, neighbor to defend). Right roundel of the second reich (post 1897) and of the province of Hessen on the left side. Bomb surmounted by a brass crest. Chinstrap attachment with lion head silver plated brass plate. Inner cap in black leather with 10 wolf teeth. Plate of the manufacturer Muller & Co city of Offenbach am main. In service at the dawn of the Great World War of 14/18. Size 55/56.
