Circa 1865 France Provence Astonishing casaquin with basques and pagoda sleeves in the 18th century style but dating from the Second Empire, piece collected in Marseille. Very fine cotton chintz printed with floral stems where roses predominate in a strong polychromy of colors. High-waisted cut with a large neckline, V-back stapled to the front and white linen lining with four stays and an inner belt. Long peplums with a fart in the air in the back, indented in the front, adorned with sewn frills with box pleats, with recall on the three-quarter sleeves with large pagodas. Some very discreet yellowish halos, only defect to report (no hole). Good general condition of color and conservation. Dimensions: Equivalent size France 42-44. Front height 62 cm, basque height 20 cm, shoulders 48 cm, sleeves 52 cm (29 cm pagodas), chest 110 cm, waist 75 cm.
