Vintage Swiss Alps Cattle Bell With Decorated Leather Strap Ca. 1950

A large hand forged cattle bell from the Alps region of Switzerland, made circa 1950. The bell comes with its original brown leather strap and buckle, as well as colored wool decoration. These bells are used to locate cats in pastures. Cats wear them around their necks so that their owners can easily find them in the alpine landscape. Excellent condition with a patina finish. This authentic vintage piece is a great home decor and brings the Swiss countryside into your home.
