One of America's most famous producers of silver and silverware, R. Wallace & Sons was founded in 1856 by silversmith Robert Wallace in Wallingford, Connecticut. Over the years, Wallace's company has had three names: "R. Wallace & Sons (1856), Wallace Brothers Silver Company (1856-1884) and Wallace Silversmiths (1875). Many pieces from the Wallace factory, in especially modern pieces, have been acquired by American museums and are displayed at the Dallas Museum of Art, the Wolfsonian FIU in Miami Beach and the Mint Museum in Charlotte.It is a leading American manufacturer that conveys timeless trends in its collections and has become a symbol of exceptional elegance.
