Transition style chest of drawers in rosewood and rosewood marquetry. It opens with 3 drawers, 2 of which are without crosspiece. The 2 large drawers are veneered with a marquetry of rosewood opening with cartridge butterfly wings surrounded by a trim of gilded bronzes. The central medallion is decorated with a bronze in the bottom of the lamp representing a covered pot. The quality of the bronzes is of high quality as much by their carvings as by their gilding. All bronzes are targeted. The upper belt drawer is smaller and is decorated with an interlacing frieze. The sides are filled in bronze in repetition of the facade. The 4 curved legs end in complete hooves with claw decorations. Its frame is made of oak. It is topped with a Brèche d'Alep marble with throat. Manufacturing quality of the great workshops of the Faubourg Saint Antoine in Paris from the end of the 19th century. Other beautiful dressers of this quality can be seen on our site. Welcome to our store in Nice opposite the Masséna museum and just behind the famous Negresco hotel.
