Object description :

"The Family, Around 1780, In The Taste Of Pa Wille (1748-1837), Eighteenth Time."
Beautiful scene of an elegant family gathered around the master of the place, around 1780, work painted in the style of P. A Wille dit Wille son (1748-1837) who was a pupil of the Academy of Fine Arts and had for Masters Greuze and JG Wille engraver to the King
. Genre scene of a sensitive family charm, from this moment of romanticism, in a well-to-do bourgeois place, in what seems to be a luxurious room, an elderly man is seated, with a welcoming face, on a large gilded seat sculpted and receives what appears to be his own; a lady of quality, perhaps her daughter, or a very close relative, presents her children, a very young man is leaning forward in the arms of a servant, a little boy dressed as a hussar holds his trumpet in his hand, a little girl dressed in pink kisses her mother's hand while holding a small carriage at the end of a rope, a boy a little behind looking at the character holds a hat in his hand. In this place, the rays of a light coming from the right of the room sweeping the whole, are gathered many signs of an asserted ease, in addition to the rich and neat clothes, the hairstyles, the parrot cage suspended , the luxurious gilded seats, the painting on the wall, the decorated cupboard on two levels with a gilded writing desk and its feather, a dai upholstered in rich velvet with gilded trimmings overlooks an equally richly made bed, near the master a writing table lacquered red with writing instruments, a pretty lacquered snuff box placed on the edge, on a chair upholstered in velvet sleeps rolled up on itself a small white bichon.
In this beautiful set of furniture and charming characters, the master of the place is a surprise to look at, indoor frock coat open, head cap tilted, pants torn below one knee, lace shirt open on a very round belly, slippers on the foot and holding like a modest fan.
Painting in very good condition, relined, clean, with small restorations at the top to the right.
Recent style frame matching the subject.
