"Tr: Harp Signed "naderman In Paris" Dated 1820 Early XIX"
Harp with forty two strings and seven pedals with single movement in sculpted gilt and green lacquered maple signed "Naderman à Paris" on the soundboard, and "Naderman N°242 1820" under the base. Column carved with golden grooves on a green background surmounted by a capital decorated with the three Graces of Greek mythology, three heads of rams joined by garlands of flowers and separated by acanthus leaves. Varnished maple soundboard and ebony keys inlaid with mother-of-pearl. Gilded wood base carved with palmettes and lyres ending in four small claw feet. Gold leaf gilding in good condition (formerly gilded capital), original green lacquer (old covers). The Musée de la Musique in Paris has in its collection a similar model signed Naderman in Paris from 1825 (see photo).
