Beautiful scale physionotrace, 22 x 30.5 cm without frame, representing Mrs. Michel Duchemin, born Marie-Rosalie David (1729-1822). Pastel on paper from a profile of the model obtained using the physionotrace device. This device made it possible to faithfully capture the features of the installer by transferring the shadow of the profile, projected by a candle, onto a sheet placed parallel to these two elements.
