Jacques Bille 1880-1942
Jacques Bille, born in Paris on February 13, 1880 and died in Boulogne-Billancourt on June 8, 1942, was a French painter. Bille is known for his representations of flowers and his pastels. Academy officer, member of the jury of the fine arts section of the National Horticultural Society, member of the National Fine Arts, he obtained an honorable mention in 1922. He exhibited in 1924 at the Royal Society of Belgium then in 1926 at the Royal Academy as well as in Paris (Galerie Georges Petit, 1929), Lyon, Saint-Dié, Le Havre, Roubaix, Lille or, among other cities , Liege. His works are kept at the Museum of Decorative Arts and at the Museum of Toulouse.
