Magnificent necklace, 19th century, circa 1860-1880, Austro Hungarian.
This necklace beautifully represents the refinement of the enamel work, the crimping of the amethysts which are of a magnificent mauve color.
The clasp is also set with an amethyst.
This one is in vermeil and set with small pearls.
