"Toulouse, St Nicolas Church, 19th Century"
Beautiful precision in the details and the technique for this canvas of beautiful dimensions from the 19th century around 18 70/80; representing the Saint Nicolas church in Toulouse, with a cloister in the foreground, and in the garden a sarcophagus in Merovingian stone. Canvas and original chassis, with two small repairs on the back that do not harm the paint. Beautiful sky light and color contrast, in reality warmer than in the photos; signed Auguste BERL or BERX? Old frame from the middle of the 19th century, in original wood and gilding, some wear and tear on the frame. Dimensions without frame: 77x 54 cms with frame: 86x 62 cms
