Large 18th century blown glass vase. Chinese / Japanese decor of dragons and blue and red flowers Imari style in Arte Povera. Nice decorations. Glass in good condition, no breakage, no cracks. Losses in the decor, see photos. Height: 45 cm Base diameter: 14 cm Neck diameter: 20 cm Arte Povera (poor art in Italian) is a technique that appeared in the middle of the 18th century in Italy which consists of cutting out existing decorations (engravings) and sticking them on the surface to be decorated. The aim was to imitate lacquers in a cheap way. We find the arte povera on different supports such as glass vases, boxes or furniture, chests of drawers.
