A Louis XVI period carved gilt wood barometer - thermometer. The top is decorated with a bird incubationg its eggs in a nest situated on a torch and a quiver, symbol of love, surrounded by a laurel wreath. Interesting historical references for the thermometer. Nice original gilding. In working condition.
