"Art Nouveau Serving Buffet From Maison Diot 1900"
Art Nouveau sideboard from the 1890s - 1900s from the workshops of Edouard Diot, Paris. Entirely in solid walnut and burl veneer, it consists of a lower part, the sideboard, opening in two leaves, and an upper part, the sideboard, decorated with a rounded and beveled mirror. two bronze decorations adorn the doors, which are locked with a bronze key decorated with the letter D. The work of sculpture, specific to the art nouveau style, is exceptional. The leaf decorations embellish the curvatures and curves in a spirit inspired by nature. The general condition is very good. There are of course some signs of life and small repairs on the veneer, and traces of the passage of some xylophages, but its presence remains unchanged and gains in authenticity and charm. It has been treated and then protected with a wax to revive its shine. The work of the art nouveau period was of great precision, and it resulted in objects of excellent craftsmanship which were closer to a work of art than to furniture. This sideboard will become a centerpiece of your decor, combining business with pleasure, and will bring a classic and natural touch to your interior.
