Louis Marie Emile Blanchard says Florane (1869 Castanet Tolosan - 1939 Montvicq) is a painter, draftsman and illustrator French. He studied at the School of Fine Arts in Toulouse, began as an illustrator in Paris in the early twentieth century, at which time he befriended Charles Leander and Steinlen. He made many trips : he painted Touraine, Brittany, Provence, the French Riviera but also Tuscany, Naples ... Our alleged Tuscan landscape is a mixed media on paper (watercolor, gouache, charcoal pastel) 37 x 28 cm
