Mirror with glazing beads in the shape of a violin in carved and gilded wood Italy late 18th century. Top richly carved with openwork foliage and a mascaron representing a female face surmounted by a shell in the center. The turbulent sides are sculpted with flowery falls and foliage. The lower part is decorated with openwork foliage and a stylized lion mask in the center. Gold leaf gilding in very good condition Original mercury mirror in very good condition (slight losses to the upper glazing bead) This mirror was originally fitted with a light arm and acted as a reflective mirror.
