very beautiful gilt bronze clock with two matte and burnished patinas representing clotho the goddess of destiny seated on the fountain her dog at her side decorated with ewer urns and half garlanded columns enamelled dial signed chantelot in marseille the typical framing of the empire is flanked by four scallop shells in working order wire movement still needs to be serviced Two different models of this clock are shown on p. 336 and p. 341 in the Encyclopédie de la Pendule française by P. Kjellberg. there is a similar model made a little later but of lower quality (coarser dog carving, fountain mask .....)
