"Bouillon Bowl Covered With Ears In Polychrome Earthenware From Gien, XIXth Century"
Very pretty broth bowl covered in fine earthenware from the Gien factory, with hand-painted polychrome decoration in the style of Rouen representing cornucopias from which spring flowers and small foraging insects. This bowl with ears rests on its presentation plate. Everything is in very good condition (tiny scratches on the blue edge of the lid). Late 19th century. Stamp of the Gien factory dating from 1875, signature of the decorator with the initials MG. On request, possibility of having a second broth bowl covered with the same decoration (slightly less intense color than the one presented above) and from the same period, but without a presentation plate. The latter has small chips on the lid and a chip under the enamel on one of the ears (photos on request). Its price is 100 €.
