Jeanne Ledoux was one of the most talented students of Jean Baptiste Greuze. She appeared at the Salon in Paris from 1793 to 1819 and at that of Douai in 1823. She was very fashionable in the Parisian artistic milieu. The whole is modeled by a free and vibrant touch, revealing the brush strokes, the blushing cheeks.
