Paneled overmantel in carved white/cream and gilt lacquered wood, decorated in the upper part with a canvas representing a young peasant girl being reprimanded and crying.
The oval canvas framed by a frieze molding of piastres and embellished with laurel branches and a Louis XVI wrapped knot, surmounts a mercury mirror in two parts, decorated with an interrupted beadwork and a frieze of rais of heart.
Louis XVI period work from the last quarter of the 18th century.
