Jean Don was of Romanian origin.
He was a draftsman, caricaturist and illustrator.
He was a pupil of the sculptor Antoine Bourdelle and of the Emile Godard foundry.
One of his works is in the small square in front of the Normandy hotel in Deauville (bronze bust of François André).
Some wear. Beautiful patina. Four marble chips, two of which are in the corners.
Dimensions 23 cm x 16.5 cm Height 41 cm with the marble base.
