Oudenaarde tapestry representing a bucolic scene with musicians.
Rare tapestry because of its theme "The Musicians" At that time, they were often integrated in gallant scenes, but rarely in the foreground. Of Oudenaarde origin, we find in the representation of the village or the dog a style close to the tapestries called Aristoloche. The tapestry is in good condition with minor and old restorations.  In often troubled times, this scene shows a part of the countryside where music is a pretext for entertainment with this couple in the background dancing. Both in their attitudes and in the way they are dressed, the characters show a cheerfulness that makes the pastoral scene charming. Original dimensions in its width but reduced in height.  We guarantee a clean tapestry, in very good condition, with its lining and its Velcros hanging system. All our tapestries can be presented to you without commitment at your home, free of charge, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region and Paris, Ile de France, before your final decision. Other regions under conditions, please contact us.
