"Cartel Boulle Louis XIV Style In Tortoiseshell And Gilt Bronze"
Superb and large cartel in Boulle marquetry in tortoiseshell brass and gilded bronze from the Napoleon III period. It rests on its end of the console lamp adorned with a brass decoration on a tortoiseshell background and bronze ganit with a woman's head. The cartel rests on finely chiseled and gilded bronze feet, it opens in front and on the side by a bronze-framed door. The whole is covered with a hat decorated at its top with a bronze rooster. The entire case and the bottom of the clock are decorated with brass marquetry representing leaves and acanthus on a tortoiseshell background. Superb quality work in perfect state of conservation and operation, fully restored.
