Beautiful chest of drawers with curved front and sides.
Thick veneer of violet wood, rosewood and rosewood from Rio, in frisage.
Opens with three drawers in two rows and rests on curved legs.
Topped with a beautiful gray breccia marble
Very beautiful ornamentation of mercury gilded bronzes
The 3 locks are original and work.
Stamped twice on the uprights: JC ELLAUME Louis XV period.
This chest of drawers has been checked by our cabinetmaker, Meilleur Ouvrier de France and authorized by the Museums of France.

Jean Charles ELLAUME:
Received Master on November 6, 1754,
he opened his workshop rue Traversière where, for 30 years, he produced quality furniture, in particular chests of drawers and flat desks, mostly in the Louis XV style, all in rosewood or violet wood veneer framed in rosewood or amaranth.
The bronze ornamentations are elegant and chiseled with finesse. ELLAUME was considered, in his time, as an excellent cabinetmaker.
