Pinfire pistol with tilting barrel and key locking (rotation of the pivoting trigger guard on the right, Le FAUCHEUX system, see details on the photos) XIXth century, around 1870-80. 16 caliber single shot pistol with octagonal barrel pinfire with smooth interior sight in excellent condition (mirror). Breech block and trigger guard engraved with scrolls, shield-shaped thumb rest on the back of the stock. Teardrop type walnut stock, squared and carved bearing number 7997 at the height of the cap on the right side. Steel cap with housing closed by an engraved flap. Crested hammer and flat striker.
