2nd Empire (1852-1870), sword of a superior officer (high magistrate) magistrate of justice and judicial administration, 19th century. Uncommon sword and excellent state of conservation, with gilded cast brass mount. Pommel stamped with imperial eagles. Joining arch chiseled with acanthus leaves and a central cartouche stamped with plant palm leaves. Fuze with mother-of-pearl plates on all 4 sides (uncommon) and two lateral grooves. Quillon stamped with an eagle's head. Symmetrical keyboard without counter keyboard, richly cut and chiseled with allegories of justice (table of the law, scales, hand of justice, etc....). Presence of the tie on the heel of the blade. Very beautiful white three-edged blade with acid-etched decoration on three sides and two-thirds of the length of the blade. Black leather scabbard with two gilded brass fittings, cut and chiselled. Chap with oval button. Unusual sword, complete with its scabbard in an excellent state of conservation, close to original new condition.
