Magnificent red chalk from the 18th century in very good condition, some minor creases.Naked man, lying on a stone, feet to the right. From the studies for a Christ taken down from the Cross by Demarteau, Gilles (1729-1776) and Vanloo, Carle (1705-1765).
Bears a Carle Van Loo F signature, lower left, and the number 38 upper right.
