This painter from Roussillon, born in Carcassonne, frequented Aristide Maillol, Étienne Terrus, Georges Daniel de Monfreid and his Catalan friends.
The subject here represents part of his interior with, in addition to the traditional bouquet in a vase and the blue Catalan dish, rare objects on the table: statuettes probably by Gustave Violet and Gauguin.
