Circa 1820-1840 Lyon Manyfacture Tassinari Chatel Precious borders for furnishing of 13.60 meters in five cuts (width 17.5 cm with selvedges) dating from the Restoration period. Lampas yellow gold satin background with twill pattern in cream grisaille and light bistre. Design with bouquets of roses in vegetal medallions entwined in arabesques. Fine neo-classical borders with polka dots. Beautiful light catch of the satin despite some slightly depigmented parts. Perfect for seats, wall borders, cushions ..... State of removal but no holes, nor major defect. Good general state of conservation. The last photo shows borders from the Tassinari-Chatel archives, with a drawing very similar to ours! Dimensions: 13.60 meters in five sections (326 cm, 324 cm, 452 cm, 130 cm, 130 cm).
