TIMO SARPANEVA (1926-2006)
Born in 1926 in Helsinki (Finland), he studied at the School of Applied Arts. From 1950, he became a designer and artistic adviser for Iittala and many factories, working with different materials: ceramics, wood, metal, textiles and glass. He won numerous distinctions and took part in the greatest world exhibitions devoted to glass art.
