Medallion in Beauvais tapestry in wool and silk representing Alexander the Great in armor enhanced with a red cape, his helmet decorated with a laurel wreath is surmounted by a sphynx. Beautiful state of conservation of the colors. This fragment of tapestry is presented in a frame of Louis XVI XVIII th century woodwork in ivory white lacquered oak carved with large rosettes at the corners.
