Splendid Neo-Gothic Monstrance in silver vermeil 950-1000. Belgian work around 1880 By the goldsmith Van de Eijden. The base is lined with 6 enamelled medallions depicting Christ, The Blessed Virgin, Saint Mark, Saint John, Saint Mathieu and Saint Luke. The shaft is set with garnet and coral cabochons. Finely engraved high quality work. The glasses are original, the lunula is retractable (original). I draw your attention to the quality of the vermeil, in superb condition, probably due to its original box which has allowed optimal conservation. Sold with its original box. Height: 63.5 cm Weight: 2238 g Superb condition.
