Large virgin (Height 51 cm) in cracked earthenware from the Art Deco period made and signed by R. Gourdon, sculptor, who began his professional life in the Art pottery of Malicorne sur Sarthe. After the Second World War, he was responsible for restoring numerous historical monuments, for example the town hall and the pediments of the Saumur cavalry school.
